It appears that my previous promise to be back posting this week will have to be put off untill the very end of this week. Because, as I sit here, in the always lovly and cozy public computer lounge, of the stunning Langsam Library on the campus of the University of Cincinnati, I still do not have my laptop back from the Geek Squad, and I still do not have internet access or cable television in my new apartment anyway so my Football viewing is inhernetly limited to what I can catch in the local, cincinnati centric bars (read as Reds, Bengals, Notre Dame and the Big 10, out of those four, I have a vested interest in none of them). On top of that, I only get ABC on TV in my apartment, which is great if, you know, want to see the entire population of a state pushed to the limits of what they can acctually endure in terms of mental anguish. Moving on…By Friday I should have my laptop, and I should have cable and roadrunner hooked up in time to blog about the coming weekend of Football. I make no promises, only assumptions. In the mean time I will hit you up with this nugget for the coming weekend.
Notre Dame is really bad at offense (in acctuallity they are really bad at Football in general, but saying that spoils the pun) I know this because, through two weeks of Football Notre Dame has amassed -8 yards rushing. The worst in the country. Michigan is really bad at defense. They have given up an average 505 yards per game. Something has to give. Doesn’t it? Regardless, Michigan vs Notre Dame is not relevent at all to anyone anywhere, except in Ann Arbor or South Bend. But here is to another loss for someone, hopefully this one doesn’t make Jim Delany cry.
And I will be taking some time from writing to experience the first two weekends of the season. I will then come back with avengance. Of course the fact that I am not going to be writing has more to do with my fumbled apartment situation here in Cincinnati. A situation which has me now staying in a “loner” apartment for a few days. Accordingly I was not able to get my time warner cable and road runner set up in my apartment because, my apartment is still being painted and cleaned, because the guy who lived there before was a total slob. So as it stands right now I am sleeping on my mattress sprawled upon the floor with all of my worldly possessions scattered, unpacked around me, enjoying my TV that only gets ABC, and my playstation which has since given up the faculty of playing any of my 70 DVD’s, meaning lots of NCAA 08 for me. But even if everything had gone to plan I would still not be able to post, because my laptop decided to shit itself, and in the process made what turned out to be an abbysmal weekend even worse. On a positive not I did get to see Superbad, which was bad ass by the way. But long story short, I can’t post untill around this time next week. And with that I leave you with the defining moment of the first full weekend of college football for 2007.
